I am a firm believer that wherever one lives or works, they have an ethical obligation to give back to the community.  Six years ago, with the help of my Housekeeper/Argentine Mother Marita, we began working with a local children's soup kitchen of 136 children in an impoverished neighborhood outside of Buenos Aires.  Our primary goal is to make sure that these children receive the basics every month to sustain a healthy life: veggies, fruit, rice, milk, and water on a daily basis and meat at least once a week. We also commit to providing quality of life necessities for the children: clean running water, propane for the oven, cleaning supplies and many other practical items.  We are proud to annouce that in 2010, with the help of Sarah Jones and hundreds of volunteers, this project has been turned into a legal NGO with non-profit status in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and continues to grow.
